Circuit Description

Reduced Power Lamp (RPL) should be illuminated whenever ignition is turned on, engine not running position. Ignition voltage is supplied to RPL indicator bulb through the C-11 METER fuse (15-amp) located in dash fuse box. PCM illuminates RPL indicator by grounding the RPL driver. RPL indicator should not remain illuminated when engine is running and no DTCs are stored. A steady on RPL indicator with engine running and no DTCs stored suggests a short to ground in RPL driver circuit.
