DTC Confirmation Test

Ensure intake air temperature is 6.8-158°F (-14-70°C) or more, and engine coolant temperature is 18-230°F (-8-110°C). Vehicle is at an altitude of 9150 feet or below, and barometric pressure is 75 kPa or more. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect SUZUKI scan tool or equivalent to DLC, located below left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. see CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Start engine and allow it to idle for 20 seconds or more. Using scan tool, check for DTC. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If same DTC P0102 resets, see DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR PROCEDURE  .
