When using scan tool MB991502

  1. Gently tap the middle of the belt between the sprockets (the place indicated by the arrow) with your finger as shown in the illustration, and check that the vibration frequency of the belt is within the standard value.
    1. Standard value: 52 - 92 Hz 
    NOTE: Refer to TIMING BELT  on the vibration frequency measurement using scan tool MB991502.

  2. If not within the standard value, adjust the belt tension. (Refer to TIMING BELT .)
