Magnet Clutch Removal and Installation: Installation

- Install magnet clutch coil (2).NOTE: Protrusion on under side of coil ring (1) must match hole in compressor assembly (3) to prevent movement ant correctly locate lead wire.
- Using special tool (C), install snap ring as shown.

(C): 09990-06107
- Install clamp portion and ground terminal of lead wire.
- Install magnet clutch.
- Set magnet clutch squarely over clutch installation boss.
- Place special tool (D) onto clutch bearing.
Ensure that edge rests only on inner race of bearing.

- Install snap ring.
CAUTION: Be careful not to scratch bearing seal. - Adjust clearance, between armature plate and magnet clutch by putting shim on compressor shaft.
Standard clearance between armature plate and magnet clutch
"a": 0.3 - 0.5 mm (0.012 - 0.02 in.)
- Tighten new armature plate nut as specified torque.
Tightening torque
Armature plate nut (a): 18 N.m (1.8 kg-m, 13.0 lb-ft)
