Compressor Assembly Removal and Installation for H27 Engine Model: Removal

  1. Run engine at idle with A/C ON for 10 minutes.
  2. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
  3. Recover refrigerant from refrigeration system using recovery and recycling equipment.
    NOTE: The amount of compressor oil at removed must be measured and the same amount must be poured when installing the compressor.
  4. Remove P/S pump. Refer to P/S PUMP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove P/S oil tank, P/S high pressure hose and pipe. Refer to P/S PUMP COMPONENTS .
  6. Disconnect magnet clutch connector.
  7. Disconnect suction hose (1) and discharge hose (2) from compressor.
    NOTE: Cap open fitting immediately to keep moisture out of system.

  8. Remove compressor (1) from its mount (2).
    NOTE: If compressor assembly is replaced with one, drain oil from compressor. Then, measure its amount.
