PCM-BCM Signal Circuit Inspection

NOTE:
- When PCM-BCM signal circuit is malfunction, combination meter indicates the following condition at the same time (H27 engine with A/T model only) Be sure to bear this mind when diagnosing trouble.
- O/D OFF indicator keeps flashing
- POWER indicator turns OFF
- A/T selector position indicator turns OFF
- If O/D OFF indicator, "POWER" indicator and A/T selector position indicator display abnormal condition of PCM-BCM signal circuit described in DESCRIPTION , perform the following procedure:
- Check open, short to ground and short to power circuit of PCM-BCM signal circuit wire harness ("PNK") between "E61-8" and "G53-15" terminals.
If OK, go to next step.
If found abnormal condition, repair circuit.
- Substitute a known-good BCM, and check that related indicator lights come to good conditions.
If found abnormal condition, go to next step.
- Substitute a known-good PCM, and recheck that the above indicators and warning operate in normal.
