Engine Block Heater Removal & Installation: Installation

Reverse remove procedure for installation, noting the followings.

Install engine block heater (1) in the direction as shown in the figure.

Tighten engine block heater mounting bolt (type A) to specified torque.
1. Apply thread lock cement to block heater bolt (1).
  1. "A": Thread Lock Cement 99000-32020
2. Tighten engine block heater mounting bolt to specified torque.
  Tighten torque
  1. Engine block heater mounting bolt (a): 11 N.m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 lb-ft)

Use new exhaust manifold gasket.
Tighten exhaust manifold mounting bolts and nuts to specified torque. See EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
Refill cooling system with coolant, front different with gear oil, P/S system with specified fluid and engine with engine oil.
Finally, start engine and check for engine coolant leaks and exhaust gas leakage.
