Removal & Installation (3.5L)

- Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Drain fuel tank by removing fuel tank drain plug. Replace drain plug and tightened to specification. ALWAYS replace fuel tank drain plug seal. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove fuel tank. See 3.5L procedure under FUEL TANK .
- Remove fuel pump assembly screws and remove fuel pump. See Fig 1.
- To install, reverse removal procedures. Tighten sending unit screws. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Run vehicle and check for fuel leaks.
