Removal & Installation (2.2L & 3.2L)

Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove fuel tank. See 2.2L and 3.2L procedure under FUEL TANK . Remove fuel feed and fuel return hoses at top of fuel tank. See Fig 1. Using Fuel Pump Lock Retainer Tool (J-39765) remove fuel pump lock retainer. See Fig 2.
To install, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Run vehicle and check for fuel leaks.
