Throttle Position (TP) Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection

- Disconnect negative cable (-) at battery and coupler from TP sensor (4).
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals under each condition. If check result is not satisfactory, replace TP sensor.
TP sensor specifications
Between "1" and "3" terminals: 4.0 - 6.0 kohm
Between "2" and "3" terminals: 0.02 - 6.0 kohm (Varying linearly according to throttle valve opening)
- Connect TP sensor coupler securely.
- Connect negative cable (-) to battery.
