Cruise Control Main Switch

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect cruise control main switch harness connector. Remove cruise control main switch from instrument panel. Measure resistance between main switch terminals IG and LOAD. See Fig 2 or Fig 1 .
  2. With cruise control main switch in OFF position, resistance reading should be infinite. With cruise control main switch in ON position, resistance reading should be about 3.9 ohms. If any resistance reading is not as specified, replace cruise control main switch.
