Forward Sensor

  1. Remove appropriate forward sensor. See FORWARD SENSORS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Visually inspect sensor and its bracket for dents, cracks, deformation or rust. Check sensor connector (sensor side and connector side) and lock mechanism for damage or cracks. Check connector terminals for bent terminals, corrosion or rust.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between forward sensor terminals. Sensor resistance should be 738-905 ohms. If resistance is not as specified or sensor is damaged, replace forward sensor.
