Magnet Clutch Removal and Installation for H27 Engine Model: Installation

Install magnet clutch coil (1).
NOTE: Protrusion on underside of magnet clutch coil and hole on compressor body assembly must match to stop movement of magnet clutch coil and to locate lead wire correctly.

Install magnet clutch.
1. Set magnet clutch horizontally over clutch installation boss.
2. Place special tool (D) onto magnet clutch bearing, and then hit top of special tool by hammer.

3. Install new circlip.
Install armature plate (1).
Using special tool (A), tighten new armature plate bolt (2) to specified torque.
Tightening torque
1. Armature plate bolt (a): 13 N.m (1.3 kg-m, 9.0 lb-ft)

Measure clearance between armature plate (1) and magnet clutch (2). If clearance is out of range, adjust clearance by either putting or removing shim(s) on compressor shaft.
Standard clearance between armature plate and magnet clutch
1. "a": 0.3 - 0.7 mm (0.012 - 0.028 in.)

Install compressor to vehicle referring to COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION FOR H27 ENGINE MODEL .
