DTC Confirmation Test

Ensure when engine is first started intake air temperature is 18-140°F (-8-60°C) and engine coolant temperature is 18-203°F (-8-95°C). Ensure intake air temperature is 18°F (-8°C), engine coolant temperature is 110°F (230°C), vehicle is at an altitude of 8000 feet or below, and barometric pressure is 75 kPa or more. Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Start engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. Drive vehicle at speeds of 30-40 MPH for 3 minutes or more. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTCs P0174 and P0175.
