Ignition Coil Check (Montero Sport)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, and 2003 Mitsubishi Galant.   1. Measure primary coil resistance between each ignition coil terminal. See IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE  table.
  2. Measure secondary coil resistance between each ignition coil high-voltage terminal as follows:
    • Cylinders No. 3 and 6 coil - A coil.
    • Cylinders No. 1 and 4 coil - B coil.
    • Cylinders No. 2 and 5 coil - C coil.
