DTC P1500: Starter Signal Circuit Malfunction: Condition

DTC is set when engine start signal is not detected by ECM (PCM) when engine is started. DTC is also set when ECM (PCM) detects engine start signal for 20 seconds or more while engine is running. MIL is illuminated when ECM (PCM) detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• Engine start signal circuit malfunction.
• ECM (PCM) malfunction.
