Driver-Side Air Bag Module: Removal
- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable the air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Driver-side air bag module is located on steering wheel hub. Ensure front wheels face straight ahead. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove 2 side trim covers from steering column. Disconnect horn connectors. Remove 2 air bag module Torx bolts. Remove air bag module from steering wheel. See Figure.
