DTC P0481: A/C Condenser Fan Control Circuit Malfunction: Condition

DTC is set when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that condenser fan motor relay input voltage is low when engine coolant temperature is less than 230°F (110°C) and ECM does not output A/C on signal to A/C amplifier. ECM continuously monitors this circuit. MIL is illuminated when ECM detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• Short or open circuit between ignition switch and ECM.
• Condenser fan relay malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
