DTC Confirmation Test

  1. Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Ensure ambient temperature is 14°F (-10°C) or more and engine coolant temperature is 158-230°F (70-110°C). Drive vehicle at normal speeds 10 minutes. Go to, next step.
  2. Stop vehicle, and allow to idle for one minute or more. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC P0452. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC resets, go to DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR PROCEDURE  .
