Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes Using Tech Scan Tool

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Using 16/14 pin Data Link Connector (DLC) cable (09931-76030), connect Tech 1 scan tool (09931-76011) with Mass Storage Cartridge (BCM 1.0 or later) to DLC. See Figure. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Erase codes. Refer to Tech 1 operators manual for specific information on using the Tech 1. Perform DTC check to ensure all codes have been cleared and there are no other malfunctions.
