DTC P0117: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit - Low Input: Condition

DTC is set when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects low ECT voltage and low ECT sensor resistance. MIL is illuminated when ECM detects malfunction during first drive cycle. Possible causes are:

• Short to ground in circuit between ECT sensor and ECM.
• ECT sensor malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
