DTC P0506 Or DTC P0507: Condition

DTC P0506 is set when idle speed is 100 RPM or more lower than target idle speed for 10 seconds. DTC P0507 is set when idle speed is 200 RPM or more than target idle speed for 10 seconds. MIL is illuminated when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• IAC valve malfunction.
• Short or open circuit between main relay, IAC valve and ECM.
• Vehicle speed sensor malfunction.
• Idle air passage plugged.
• Vacuum leaks.
• Accessory engine load malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
