DTC P1500: Starter Signal Circuit Malfunction: Condition

DTC is set when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects low voltage at starter circuit when cranking engine, or high voltage after engine is started. ECM continuously monitors this circuit. MIL is illuminated when ECM detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• Open circuit between ignition switch and ECM.
• ECM malfunction.
