DTC Confirmation Test

Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Ensure fuel tank is at least 1/4 full, vehicle is at an altitude of 8000 feet or below, barometric pressure is 75 kPa or more, ambient temperature is 14°F (-10°C) or more, intake air temperature is 158°F (70°C) or less, and engine coolant temperature is 14-230°F (-10-110°C). Start engine and allow it to idle for 2 minutes or more. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 or P0304. If DTC P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 or P0304 is not set at idle speed; consult with customer as to driving under conditions during which DTC was originally set, and using scan tool retrieve freeze frame data.
