DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: Ensure engine coolant temperature less than 140°F (60°C) before beginning testing.

Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Start engine and allow to idle for 15 minutes. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC P1116. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC resets, go to DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR PROCEDURE  .
