DTC P1116: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor No. 2 - Range/Performance Problem: Condition

DTC sets when difference in engine coolant temperature as detected by ECT sensor No. 2 between maximum and minimum temperatures is less than specified. MIL is illuminated when ECM detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• ECT sensor No. 2.
• ECM malfunction.
