DTC P0118: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit - High Input: Condition

DTC is set when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects high Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) voltage and high resistance. MIL is illuminated when ECM detects malfunction during first drive cycle. Possible causes are:

• Open or short to power in circuits between ECT sensor and ECM.
• ECT sensor malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
