Models Without RKE

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect PDL controller harness connector. See Fig 1 . Connect negative battery cable.
  2. Using fused jumper wire, connect battery voltage to PDL controller connector terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Black wire). See Fig 1 . Using a second jumper wire connected to ground, momentarily connect PDL controller connector terminal No. 3 (Yellow wire). Check that all power door locks are locked or unlocked. If any door lock did not actuate, check for an open or short in Yellow wire and/or Yellow/Black wire between suspect power door lock actuator and PDL controller. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If all power door locks are locked or unlocked, go to next step.
  3. Using fused jumper wire, connect battery voltage to PDL controller connector terminal No. 3 (Yellow wire). See Fig 1 . Using a second jumper wire connected to ground, momentarily connect PDL controller connector terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Black wire). Check that all power door locks were activated and are all now locked or unlocked. If any door lock did not activate, check for an open or short in Yellow wire and/or Yellow/Black wire between suspect power door lock actuator and PDL controller. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If all power door locks were active, PDL actuator circuit is okay.
