Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

A/C Refrigerant Pressure Switch Inspection

A/C Control Pressure Switch
1. Run engine and A/C switch ON.
2. Check continuity between "a" and "b" terminals of A/C refrigerant pressure switch (1) in normal A/C condition. If no continuity, replace A/C refrigerant pressure switch.




Radiator Cooling Fan and A/C Condenser Cooling Fan Control Pressure Switch
1. Connect manifold gauge set to charging valves.
2. Run engine and A/C switch ON.
3. Check continuity between "c" and "d" terminals of A/C refrigerant pressure switch (1) when A/C refrigerant pressure is changed, as shown.
If operation is not as specified, replace A/C refrigerant pressure switch.
