Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation

A/C EVAPORATOR THERMISTOR
A thermistor (1) is a temperature sensor to sense the temperature of air discharged from evaporator. The electrical characteristic is shown in the chart.

When temperature is lower than preset temperature, amplifier makes magnet clutch turn off to prevent evaporator from frosting.
