Draining & Refilling

Lift up vehicle.
When engine is cool, remove drain plug "1" from oil pan and drain Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). See Fig 1 .
Install drain plug.
Lower vehicle and fill with proper amount of recommended fluid. See RECOMMENDED FLUID .
Check fluid level, at normal temperature. See CHECKING FLUID LEVEL . See Figure for Grand Vitara and Vitara or see Figure for XL-7.
