Removal & Installation

Before proceeding, read air bag service precautions section. See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Ensure front wheels face straight ahead. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove 2 Torx screws. Disconnect air bag and horn connectors. Remove air bag module from steering wheel. See Fig 1.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten air bag module Torx screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
