Power Door Lock Actuator Circuit

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect Power Door Lock and Remote Keyless Entry (PDL/RKE) controller harness connector. See Figure . Connect negative battery cable. Go to next step.
  2. Using jumper wires, connect battery voltage to PDL/RKE controller connector terminal No. 1 (Blue wire). See Figure . Using a second jumper wire connected to ground, momentarily contact PDL/RKE controller connector terminal No. 3 (Blue/White wire). Ensure driver's door power door lock is locked. If driver's door does not lock, check for an open or shorted condition in Blue wire or Blue/White wire between driver's door lock actuator and PDL/RKE controller connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If driver's door is locked, go to next step.
  3. Using grounded jumper wire, momentarily contact PDL/RKE controller connector terminal No. 2 (Blue/Red wire). See Figure . Check that all passenger door locks (except driver's door) are locked. If any passenger door lock does not lock, check for an open or shorted condition in Blue wire or Blue/Red wire between PDL/RKE controller connector and suspect power door lock actuator. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If all power door locks are locked, go to next step.
  4. Remove all jumper wires. Using jumper wire, connect battery to PDL/RKE controller connector terminal No. 2 (Blue/Red wire). Connect another jumper between battery and terminal No. 3 (Blue/White wire). See Figure . Using another jumper wire connected to chassis ground, momentarily contact PDL/RKE controller connector terminal No. 1 (Blue wire). Check that all power door locks are unlocked. If all power door locks are unlocked, power door lock actuator circuit is okay. If any door lock actuator did not unlock, check for an open or shorted condition in related wiring (Blue, Blue/Red and Blue/White wires) between PDL/RKE controller connector and failed power door lock actuator. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If related wiring is okay, replace faulty power door lock actuator.
