Door Key Switch & Power Door Lock Switch Circuit
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect Power Door Lock and Remote Keyless Entry (PDL/RKE) controller harness connector. Connect negative battery cable.
- Using DVOM connected to ground, check for continuity at PDL/RKE controller connector terminal No. 8 (Pink wire). See Figure . With driver-side door key switch in neutral, continuity should not exist. With driver-side door key switch in LOCK position, continuity should be present. If continuity is okay, go to next step. If continuity is not as described, repair open in Pink wire between PDL/RKE controller connector and driver's door key switch or power door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Check for continuity between ground and PDL/RKE controller connector terminal No. 9 (Pink/Green wire). See Figure . With driver-side door key switch in neutral, continuity should not exist. With driver-side door key switch in LOCK position, continuity should be present. If continuity is not as described, repair open in Pink/Green wire between PDL/RKE controller connector and driver's door key switch or power door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
