Wheel Bearing

Wheel bearings are not adjustable. To check wheel bearing(s) for excessive wear, raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Remove hub center cap and mount a dial indicator to drum and to center hub shaft. Grasp drum and apply pull/push force in and out. Note indicator reading. Replace bearing if movement exceeds .03" (.8 mm).
