Steering Knuckle: Installation

  1. Reverse removal procedure to install steering knuckle. Note the following:
    • Tighten all nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
    • When installing circlip to axle shaft, utilize screw hole in axle shaft to pull it out and install circlip.
    • On 4WD models, apply sealant to mating surface of axle shaft drive flange. Install axle shaft drive flange.
    • Check wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
