Lower Control Arm Bushings: Removal

  1. Remove lower control arm. See LOWER CONTROL ARM & BALL JOINT  .
  2. Cut flange part of control arm bush (rubber and steel) with using care not to damage control arm end surface. See Fig 1 .
  3. Place control arm and Control Arm Remover Support (09951-46020) on hydraulic press. Set control arm cutting flange to welded part of the control arm remover support and control arm joint side to the stepped part of support. See Fig 2 .
  4. Using a press, Control Arm Remover Support (09951-46020), Bushing Remover (09951-16060) and Handle (09924-74510), remove front bushing. See Fig 3 .
  5. Remove rear bushing by pressing out bushing using Bushing Remover/Installer Set (09951-16040). See Fig 4 .
