Hazard Warning Switch: Swift

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Ensure front wheels are in a straight-ahead position. Disable air bag restraint system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
  2. Disconnect contact coil and multifunction switch harness connectors from junction/fuse block. See Fig 1. Using DVOM, check for continuity between appropriate contact coil and multifunction switch harness connector terminals, with hazard warning switch in specified position. See HAZARD WARNING SWITCH CONTINUITY (SWIFT)  table. If continuity is not as specified, replace multifunction switch. See CONTACT COIL & MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
HAZARD WARNING SWITCH CONTINUITY (SWIFT)

Switch Position (1) Terminal-To-Terminal Wire Colors
ON Green, Green/Red & Green/Yellow; White/Green & Yellow/Blue
OFF White/Green & Yellow Blue
