Cruise Indicator Light Circuit Check

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect CC ECU harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If CRUISE indicator light illuminates, repair short to ground in Green wire (Esteem) or Green/Yellow wire (all others) between instrument cluster and CC ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . On all models, if CRUISE indicator light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between ground and CC ECU harness connector terminal No. 4 (Green wire on Esteem; Green/Yellow wire on all others). See Figure . Turn ignition switch to ON position. If CRUISE indicator light illuminates, circuit is okay. If CRUISE indicator light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Check CRUISE indicator light bulb. Replace as necessary. If CRUISE indicator light bulb is okay, check for open in Black/White wire between instrument cluster and fuse box. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If Black/White wire is okay, go to next step.
  4. On Esteem, repair open in Green wire between instrument cluster and CC ECU. On all others, repair open in Green/Yellow wire between instrument cluster and CC ECU. On all models, ensure CRUISE indicator light is operating properly.
