Reverse Brake Piston: Installation

NOTE: For special tool part numbers, refer to special tools list. See SPECIAL TOOLS  .
  1. Install NEW "O" Rings at the following locations:
    • The inner reverse brake piston.
    • The reaction sleeve.
    • The outer (secondary) reverse brake piston.
  2. Install the following components to the transmission case:
    • The outer reverse brake piston.
    • The reaction sleeve.
    • The inner reverse brake piston.
    • The brake piston return spring.
      NOTE: Install snap ring so that opening in snap ring does not align with any of 3 lugs of spring seat.
  3. Compress the reverse brake piston using Clutch Spring Compressors in order to install the snap ring. See Figure .
