Valve Body Assembly Removal

  1. Remove the following components from the valve body:
    • The bolt.
    • The detent spring. See Fig 1 .
    • The plate.
    • The manual valve.
  2. Remove the 9 upper valve body bolts. See Fig 2 . Remove the 6 lower valve body bolts. See Fig 3 .
    NOTE: Press the separator plate and the gasket against the lower valve body in order to prevent the check balls and the springs from falling out of the lower valve body.
  3. Remove the rear upper valve body check balls from the lower valve body. Remove the 5 valve body bolts from the upper valve body and remove the check balls. See Fig 4 . Inspect the front upper valve body for the proper locations of the valves and the retaining clip. See Fig 5 .
  4. Inspect the rear upper valve body for the proper locations of the check balls. See Fig 6 .
  5. Inspect the lower valve body for the proper locations of the following components:
    • The bypass valve. See Fig 7 .
    • The check balls.
    • The primary regulator valve sleeve retainer.
