Front Upper Valve Body Reassembly

  1. Install the following Throttle Valve (TV) components to the valve body:
    • The secondary valve spring.
    • The TV compensating ring(s).
    • The throttle valve.
    • The TV primary spring.
    • The down shift plug.
    • Secure with the locating pin.
  2. Install the following TV cable cam components:
    • The return spring. See Figure .
    • The spacer.
    • The cam.
    • The throttle valve bolt. Tighten the TV bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the front valve body end cover. Handstart one of the end cover pressure relief valve bolts. See Figure . Install the secondary valve spring to the valve body. Install the secondary regulator valve to the valve body. Rotate the end cover over the valve. Install the second end cover pressure relief valve bolt and tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the following cut back valve components:
    • The spring.
    • The valve.
    • The plug.
    • The retainer.
    Install the throttle valve keep plate to the valve body.
