Planetary Gears & Output Shaft: Inspection
- Inspect the following components, as indicated, and replace as required:
- All contact surfaces between the input shaft and the clutch cylinder for excessive wear or damage.
- Intermediate shaft for wear and damage, or clogging of the oil holes.
- Output shaft cylinder teeth (cut-outs) for excessive wear or damage.
- Piston sliding surface for excessive wear.
- Thrust bearing/washer seating surfaces for excessive wear, bending or binding.
- Teflon seal ring surface for excessive wear or damage.
- Clutch discs and plates for excessive wear and binding of surfaces, and excessive wear to the engagement tabs (teeth).
- Planetary gear sets for wear and damage.
- Reaction plate for wear and damage.
