Strut Assembly: Removal
- Remove strut tower bar. Raise and support vehicle. Allow suspension to hang freely. Remove wheels. Disconnect disc brake caliper hose from strut. See Fig 1
. Remove caliper from steering knuckle, and wire aside. Disconnect wheel speed sensor clamp from strut (if equipped). See Fig 2
.
- Scribe mating marks on strut and steering knuckle for installation reference. Remove lower strut-to-steering knuckle bolts. Remove upper strut-to-body mounting nuts at strut tower. Remove strut assembly from vehicle.
