Power Door Locks & Remote Keyless Entry Systems: Description
Power Door Locks and Remote Keyless Entry (PDL/RKE) system consists of all standard power door lock system components with a different PDL/RKE controller and driver's door lock actuator with door key switch assembly. See Fig 1 . PDL/RKE controller monitors driver's side power door lock switch, either front door key cylinder switch and RKE transmitter. All doors can be locked using driver's door lock knob, driver's door key lock cylinder, power door lock switch, passenger door key switch or RKE transmitter. All doors can be unlocked using power door lock switch, RKE transmitter or by turning either front door key lock cylinder to unlock position twice within 5 seconds. Using RKE transmitter to lock vehicle will flash hazard lights one time. Using RKE transmitter to unlock vehicle will flash hazard lights twice and illuminate interior lighting for about 30 seconds.
