Cylinder Head: Inspection

- Check cylinder head for evidence of water leakage or damage. Remove carbon from combustion chambers. Check cylinder head for cracks in combustion chambers, head surface, intake and exhaust ports.
- Check head warpage at 6 locations. If warpage exceeds specification, cylinder head should be machined or replaced. See CYLINDER HEAD table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.
- Check intake and exhaust manifold seating faces on cylinder head for warpage. Warpage limit for manifold seating faces is .004" (.10 mm). If warpage exceeds specification, machine or replace cylinder head.
