Rear Upper Valve Body Reassembly

  1. Install the following 2-3 shift valve components:
    • The spring.
    • The valve.
    • The plug.
    • The retainer.
    Install the 1-2 shift valve and spring.
  2. Install the following rear valve body plate components:
    • The gasket.
    • The plate.
    • The bolts. Tighten rear valve body plate bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the following 3-4 shift valve components:
    • The spring.
    • The valve.
    • The plug.
    • The retainer.
  4. Install the following components to the valve body:
    • The reverse brake sequence valve spring.
    • The clutch sequence valve.
    • The 3-2 kickdown control valve plug.
    • The needle roller pin.
  5. Install the 6 valve body balls. See Figure .
