Magnet Clutch

Check the following items.
- Inspect pressure plate and rotor for signs of oil.
- Check clutch bearings for noise and grease leakage.
- Using and ohmmeter (3), measure resistance of stator coil between clutch lead wire (1) and body ground (2).
If measured resistance is not within tolerance, replace coil.

Standard resistance for magnet clutch (G16 and J20 engine models) : 3.5 - 5.0 Ohms at 20 °C (68 °F)
