Power Steering Pump: Reassembly
To install, reverse removal procedure. See Figure . Apply Dexron-III or equivalent ATF to all sliding surfaces. Install rotor on pump shaft with dent mark facing rear of pump. See Fig 1 . Coat vanes with ATF and install with rounded surface ("R" part) contacting cam ring. Fig 2 . Coat new "O" rings with ATF before installing. Ensure relief valve slides smoothly in bore. Tighten bolts and fittings to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
