Diagnosis & Repair Procedure
- Perform DTC CONFIRMATION TEST . If DTC P01510 is set, go to next step. If DTC P1510 is not set, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. See TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES article.
- Measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and PCM 26-pin connector C21 terminal No. 14 (White wire) with ignition off, then with engine running. See Figure. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Both readings should be 10-14 volts. If readings are not as specified, repair open in White wire between DOME fuse (15-amp) in instrument panel fuse/relay block located under left side of instrument panel, and PCM connector. If readings are as specified, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM 26-pin connector C21. Check for poor terminal contact at PCM 26-pin connector C21. If poor terminal contact is found, repair as necessary and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST . If terminal contact is okay, problem is probably intermittent. System may be okay at this time. See TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES article. If intermittent problem is not found, replace PCM and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST .
